I'm going to the East Coast in a few days, and will be staying part of the time in Manhattan. Does anyone here know of any vegetarian restaurants they'd recommend in the area?
I'd be interested in other restaurants that offer vegetarian and vegan dishes, too. Not too expensive though, mid range or inexpensive is best. New Yorkers, tell me your secrets!

NYC has a lot of veg restaurants, you can find a very user-friendly restaurant guide that I use all the time at supervegan.com/restaurants.php

And it's very likely I'll check out the Galaxy Global Eatery, since you've recommended it so highly. Even though it's not a vegetarian restaurant it does look like they serve some vegan dishes there.
